Town Actor Returns For Stage Show

On Friday 5th February 2010, the Shropshire Star said: "A former Shropshire resident is set to return to the county to star in a Shrewsbury drama company's latest production."

Alisdair Hinton is currently in his second year reading Theatre Studies and Drama at Royal Holloway, The University Of London. But this April he will return to his home town to take the lead in Mad Cow Productions' latest show A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum.

The 21 year old is already a stage veteran as his love of theatre started at primary school. Since then he has appeared in numerous plays and musicals including performances at The Edinburgh Festival, The Royal College Of Music, and The Royal Albert Hall.

He is remembered in the county by theatre goers who saw him as the Pirate King in The Pirates Of Penzance at The Music Hall and as Tony Lumpkin in She Stoops To Conquer at Theatre Severn.

Mad Cow Productions choreographer Lisa Lowarch said " Alisdair's years of experience in performance from a tender age make him quick to adapt to direction and choreography."
